What went in: Four tomato plants, one zucchini, and one japanese eggplant.
I am an unthrifty nerd and went ahead and bought the Organic EarthBox Replant Kit off Amazon. I don’t know if it was necessary, but after the winter season’s soil debacle I figured it couldn’t hurt to make things nice and official and by the book. Of course I only bought two kits and I have three EarthBoxes, so one set of tomato plants will be fertilized with the non-EarthBox Dr. Earth fertilizer for vegetables. I have a feeling it won’t matter a bit.
What do you say Sam? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I just found your blog and I LOVE it! I’m starting my own patio container “farm’ this weekend but i’ve never grown anything before so we will see how it goes. Keep up the good work!

Hey Meghan! Thanks!! What are you thinking about containers? And what are you going to grow?

Tomatoes and various herbs for sure! I’m heading out to the nursery tomorrow to consult the experts. Now if we could only get some friggin sun in NC!

Digging your blog – we seem to be in the same place gardening-wise. Nice to know there’s others enjoying/obsessing/stressing over a newfound hobby.

Dude, I’m digging YOUR blog! It is inspiring me to look into Aerogardens. I haven’t started anything from seed yet and it makes me feel like I’m cheating.

Thanks – I feel as though I jumped in the deep end a bit with the seed, but what’s the worse that can happen?! I am tempted at the greenmarket by Silver Heights Farm’s (google silver heights farm ny) offerings…so that’s my backup plan.
